Our story
The Tacoma Urban League was born from the civil rights movement and continues to make equality practical for Black people and underserved communities across the South Puget Sound.

More than 50 years
For generations, thousands of people have come through our doors for services, training, advocacy, and a place to feel supported while pursuing their goals. The work keeps evolving, but the promise stays clear: advance social and economic equality through community-led action.
We believe change is strongest when it is practical and shared. That means pairing resources with relationships, and pairing vision with the work of building it.
